Product Description

Activated alumina is generally prepared by heating and dewatering aluminum hydroxide. Aluminum hydroxide is also called hydrated aluminum oxide, its chemical composition is Al2O3·nH2O, usually according to the number of crystal water contained, can be divided into alumina trihydrate and alumina monohydrate. After heating and dewatering aluminum hydroxide, γ-Al2O3 can be obtained. It is usually referred to as activated alumina.
 

Application

Activated alumina belongs to the category of chemical alumina,mainly used in adsorbent,water purification agent,catalyst and catalyst carrier. Activated alumina has selective adsorption capacity for gas, water vapor and some liquids.after adsorption saturation,it can be heated at about 175 ~ 315ºC to remove water and revive. Adsorption and reactivation can be performed multiple times.in addition to being used as a desiccant, it can also adsorb the vapor of lubricating oil from polluted oxygen, hydrogen,carbon dioxide,etc.
