Product Description

Activated alumina is a strong oxidizing agent, chemical formula, black purple crystal, with blue metallic luster, odorless, in contact with some organic matter or easy oxide, easy to explode, soluble in water, lye,  sulfuric acid.it is one of the strongest oxidants, which is greatly affected by pH as an oxidant and has the strongest oxidation capacity in acidic solutions. the corresponding acids HMnO4 permanganate and Mn2O7 acid anhydride are strong oxidants, which can automatically decompose and heat, and cause combustion in contact with organic matter.

Application

Mainly used as disinfectant, oxidant, bleach, gas absorbent, carbon dioxide refined preparation, water purification agent and so on.in chemical production, it is widely used as an oxidizing agent, such as an oxidizing agent for saccharin, vitamin C, benzoic acid; Used in medicine as a preservative, disinfectant, deodorant and antidote; In water purification and wastewater treatment, as a water treatment agent, to oxidize hydrogen sulfide, iron, manganese and organic, inorganic and other pollutants, control odor and decolorization. Also used as bleach, adsorbent, coloring agent and disinfectant. Used as an expansion agent in concrete admixtures.
