Plastic Corrugated Plate Packing

Plastic corrugated plate packing is a newly developed and applied corrugated packing material, with performance close to that of metal corrugated plate packing. In the industry, it is also known as "plastic structured corrugated packing for waste gas purification towers" - since its mass production, it has been most commonly used in exhaust towers and purification towers, among which PP (polypropylene) corrugated plate packing is the most widely adopted type.

 

Compared with other packing materials, plastic structured packing offers distinct advantages:

• Lightweight & cost-effective: It has a much lower density and more competitive pricing, which is well recognized by users.
• High flux & efficiency: With relatively large flux, it is suitable for large-scale towers. This helps increase output, reduce energy consumption, and significantly improve production efficiency.
• Excellent material properties: Due to its special plastic composition, it exhibits good heat resistance and corrosion resistance, enabling stable use in various harsh environments.
• Superior operational performance: It is widely used in absorption, desorption, rectification, and extraction unit operations (e.g., in the hydrochloric acid/sulfuric acid industry, natural gas industry, and environmental protection waste gas purification/desorption degassing devices), effectively enhancing fluid treatment capacity and separation efficiency.

• Light specific gravity, large handling capacity, and low pressure drop
• Large specific surface area, easy installation and replacement
• Material heat resistance: Up to 100°C for PP and 150°C for PVDF
• Optional perforation design: Small holes can be punched on the packing surface to improve mass transfer efficiency; non-perforated versions are available for scenarios with low separation requirements (offering higher plate strength)
